LEGATO: Woodblock Puzzle

A roguelike puzzle set in a traditional woodblock print workshop, inspired by the Đông Hồ folk prints of Vietnam. Every line you draw is a pass of the press: carved blocks lift, ink lands on the paper, and your score is stamped onto the receipt strip — Chips × Mult, in the exact order it is calculated.

How it plays

Draw, print, score

Drag across three or more touching cells of the same color. Longer lines climb the ranks, loops multiply the print — link 15 cells and a Lý-dynasty dragon is printed along your line.
Build your press

Between stages, the Print Market offers 26 Blocks, 13 Dyes, 12 Patterns and 8 Tools that bend the scoring rules. Every run ends as a print, sealed with its own run code.
Tough Orders

Each round closes with one of 12 Tough Orders, each changing a rule of the sheet: a locked color, ice, growing stones, reversed gravity, a hidden next row. See them coming and build around them.

Standard runs, a Daily board shared by everyone, a 100-level Journey with stars, Endless mode — and replay any run from its code.

Folk roots

From the Đông Hồ print workshop

Đông Hồ prints are made by hand: carved wooden blocks, one per color, pressed onto điệp paper that shimmers with crushed seashell. LEGATO turns that workshop into a puzzle — the board is the paper, your line is the press, and the score is the stamp.

Draw a line fifteen cells long and the dragon from Lý-dynasty carvings comes alive across the sheet.
